Bui Viet Doan began his artistic world as a potter. Since 2007 works with ceramic mosaic. He is currently working on works in the public space of ceramic mosaic on the basis of areas of various dimensions. The work process includes ceramic glaze to enrich the colors in his works. All the materials he uses are made of ceramics in different techniques in order to produce uniqueness in the project. Bui Viat Doan's birthplace is Bat Trang- a traditional pottery village with a 400-year history in the field of pottery.
